Starter gives you 50 audits/month, Growth 200, Agency unlimited. The counter resets on your billing date. Bulk scans, widget submissions, and manual audits all draw from the same bucket — 1 audit fired = 1 unit.

    What counts as 1 audit

Anything that runs the audit pipeline end-to-end counts as 1 unit, including failed runs that returned a real error (timeouts, blocked sites). Re-audits of the same lead count separately each time. The outreach draft regeneration is free; only the audit step itself is metered.

Think of it like printing pages. The size of the page does not matter, but every press of "print" counts.

    How LemAudit tracks the counter

Each successful or failed audit writes a row into audit_usage tagged with your account_id and the current billing period. The Dashboard shows the live counter (used / cap) and turns red at 90%. When the counter hits the cap, the run-audit edge function returns a quota_exceeded error instead of running the scan. The widget shows a soft "at capacity" message to visitors. Leads still get captured; they just do not get an instant audit. Manual audits and bulk scans get the standard quota_exceeded error in the UI with a one-click upgrade link to the plans page.

The counter resets at midnight UTC on your renewal date.

    Worked example

A solo agency on Starter ran 38 manual audits and a 14-domain bulk scan in week 3: 52 total. They hit the cap and got the upgrade link in the bulk scanner. They clicked into Growth. Stripe pro-rated. Their counter reset to 0 on the new plan with 200 available. The bulk scan finished the remaining 12 domains within 4 minutes.

    When this isn't right

Volume needs over 1,000/month sit better on a custom enterprise tier — contact support. If you only audit a handful of clients per month and want zero limit, the Agency plan "unlimited" is fair-use capped. The cap sits at roughly 5,000 to prevent scrape abuse. Need 10,000+? Talk to us.
